| While at EDS I saw that things were not going as planned. As I guessed, they weren't. Within 4 months, my position at EDS was eliminated, and I couldn't have been happier.
You see, I'd been working on plans for going out on my own. The process of being released from EDS included time to find other work. For me, this was time to work on my business.
So I formed my own consulting firm:
Entinex, Inc.. |

| After departing Alexus and taking the month of December off, I went aboard at EDS.. Yes, that's EDS as in, Ross Perot's one-time company. I was there as a Sr. QA Analyst and CMM® Process Mentor. At their Rockville Solutions Centre, I provided process mentoring to introduce CMM®-compliant process methodologies to the NASD's (as in NASDAQ) I.T. department. I wrote organizational QA program; applied existing process to projects under way; mentored Program Management Office to bring projects under management control, tracking and oversight. Counselled project managers in use of existing methodologies and tailoring of processes to their projects. Mentored Project Managers in effective project initiation processes and initial project scoping. Plan and track process usage on projects, conduct process reviews, implement process improvements. |

| Up until November 2000, I was the Director of Software Operations for
Alexus International, Inc.. As with many Internet-based companies, Alexus had its
share of problems that year. I don't know that they've solved them even now. You know it's not a good sign when they let go of
the people that keep the product running. Especially considering that Alexus is an Application Service Provider (ASP).
Their product is (was?) a knowledge management system that they marketed for Recruiting and Personnel Resource Management. As Director of Software Operations
I was responsible for the product after it's been designed and developed I kept all the pieces of the system working that kept the product working.
This includes the front end that the users see as well as the production processing of resumes and applicant information.
It was really involved... you're better off reading my resume. Hopefully they won't be another "dot-bomb." |

| At Booz•Allen & Hamilton I was a Management Consultant
providing expert advice and assistance in the areas of Requirements Engineering, Risk Management
Quality Assurance, Project Management, Business / Operations Management, Technology Implementation,
and "Business Process Re-Engineering." I was building quite the Risk and Requirements Management
empire before I left for the fast paced world of the Internet and start-ups. My clients included offices in
the Department of the Treasury, U.S. Customs Office and NASA's Chief Financial Officer. |
|
Before going to Booz•Allen & Hamilton I was a civil servant Manufacturing Engineer for the Department of the Navy, in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. Specifically, I worked for the NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND where I supported the Huey & Cobra Helicopter, and Joint Strike Fighter Weapon System Program Offices. If I try to explain exactly what I do on this page we'd be here forever and then you'd be confused, so I'll let you link to it on your own. |
|
While in college I worked as an Engineering Aide for what was then Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, Maryland. There I developed the screens of text that flight operators would use to monitor the systems on-board of the GOES-I weather satellite... it's now the satellite providing most of the great pictures we see on the news... has anyone (besides me) noticed the improved clarity and quality of weather imagery? |
